Mary Kaszynski, Director of Government Relations

Mary Kaszynski is VVF’s Director of Government Relations.  

Prior to joining VVF, Mary was the Deputy Policy Director at Ploughshares Fund, a global security foundation focused on nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament. She is a communications specialist with expertise in Iran and the broader Middle East, nuclear and conventional arms, war powers and defense budget. Mary directed Ploughshares' efforts to prevent an Iranian nuclear weapon, supporting the work of nuclear experts, lobbyists, and grassroots groups in this space. 

Before joining Ploughshares in 2014, Mary worked as a communications associate at ReThink Media working on national security issues, including Iran, US nuclear weapons policy, war powers and defense budget. She previously held positions at the American Security Project and Afghanistan Study Group. Mary earned her Masters in International Affairs from American University and graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in History.
