Statement From Vet Voice Foundation In Response to Secretary Zinke’s Recommendation Regarding Sand to Snow National Monument

Yesterday, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced that he would recommend no changes to Sand to Snow National Monument as part of his larger review of 27 national monuments.

"This decision is a no brainer,” said Steve Dunwoody, California Director for the Vet Voice Foundation. “What is also a no brainer is keeping all of the current designations for monuments and public lands, and not allowing them to be sold off, ensuring that future generations of Americans, veterans, active military and their families can continue to enjoy them.”

Founded in 2009, the Vet Voice Foundation mobilizes veterans to become leaders in our nation's democracy through participation in the civic process. VVF offers veterans the opportunity to continue serving their communities by finding a new mission in domestic and foreign policy campaigns that are important to America.
