Vet Voice Foundation Statement on the Election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

The Vet Voice Foundation’s Major General (Ret.) Paul Eaton, a US Army veteran, released the following statement:

“Over the past 3 1/2 years, we’ve watched the Trump Administration lead the charge to sell off and destroy our nation’s public lands. From downsizing national monuments to staffing the Interior Department with anti-public lands fanatics, every day has been a fight to save our greatest treasures. Those policies have been soundly rejected by the American people.

“We look forward to working with President-elect Biden, Vice President-elect Harris, their team, and veterans from across the country to undo the wreckage of the Trump Administration and to build back better our Interior Department, our public lands, and the bureaus and agencies that oversee them — making them stronger and more safeguarded than ever before.

“Veterans have long-been champions of environmental stewardship — from Teddy Roosevelt to veterans today who tirelessly advocated for laws like the recently-passed Great American Outdoors Act. There’s much to be done, and we’re ready to get to work. “
